Farmhouse Kitchen

Guided by the client’s brief for a modern farmhouse aesthetic with a personality-driven palette inspired by the rural landscape, this project centres around a 4.2m Terrazzo Venezia benchtop that acts as both a functional work surface and a striking focal point. The benchtop anchors the kitchen with timeless elegance and durability, blending everyday practicality with refined craftsmanship. Thoughtful detailing, sustainable finishes, and a nature-inspired colour palette enhance the connection to the surrounding environment, creating a warm, contemporary space designed for family life and effortless entertaining.

Staron was selected for its exceptional durability, seamless finish, and design flexibility, critical for executing a 4.2m benchtop that anchors the kitchen both visually and functionally. The stunning custom dining table, measuring an impressive 3600 x 1500mm, was made to match the kitchen, creating a cohesive and striking interior. Crafted with Staron Solid Surface, Blackbutt timber, and custom metal legs.

Its near-invisible joins created a continuous, high-impact surface. While the terrazzo-look finish introduced subtle colour variation within a single surface, adding depth and visual interest, while complementing the nature-inspired palette and gold accents.

This project reinforced the versatility and precision Staron offers in large-scale, bespoke applications. Working with a 4.2m curved benchtop highlighted the material’s ability to achieve almost invisible joins, demonstrating how seamless surfaces can be created even at an impressive scale.
